One of the largest privately owned paper converter in the country, Sofidel America Paper Company is in search of a qualified Industrial Mechanic Technician or Electronic & Instrumentation Technician for its Converting operations in Haines City, FL May work rotating 12 hour shifts- DIRECT HIRE - FULL BENEFIT Duties include but are not limited to: MUST Have some Manufacturing Background Perform preventative maintenance such as changing contacts, checking motors and the operation of robotic systems. Troubleshoot, drag and repair electrical and electronic systems on any converting plant equipment including any electromechanical production equipment. Test equipment after maintenance is completed to ensure machine is operating correctly. Collect PLC input and output data to monitor efficiency of equipment to assist in the planning of future conversion operations. Maintain the robotic systems including all mechanical, electrical and electrical components to ensure proper operation. Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods and materials Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components-- photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders PLC programs, ability to troubleshoot ladder logic (read use for troubleshooting), components (CPU back plains, I/O boards, counters, modules, and devices) and communications modules (Ethernet) Other duties may include: Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain work flow and to meet schedules and quality requirements. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies. Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition. Perform other related duties as assigned. Three (3) to five (5) years verifiable experience as Electronic & Instrumentation Technician with experience in an industrial maintenance organization and mechanical skills. Minimum High School diploma or equivalent. AA in Electronics and Instrumentation Perferred Candidate should have ability to use the tools and testing equipment for repair. Willing and capable of working shift rotation including nights & weekends. Be available to and respond to department needs at all times. This includes scheduled daily overtime, off shift and weekend hours as well as call-ins for emergency repairs. Demonstrate leadership in areas of Safety and Housekeeping. Perform required duties without direct supervision. Exhibit quality in all aspects of work and workmanship.
