Fill drink orders for servers and provide courteous and professional food and beverage service to guests in the bar area in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as federal, state and local regulations. Provide any necessary assistance to visitors or guests.  Participate in the selection of Bar associates. Actively participate in beverage programs creation, implementation and control.  Set the assigned area in preparation for an on time opening and ensure that it is fully equipped with tools and products needed to prepare required beverages. Make sure all bar Associates are proficient in doing so as well.Mix drinks, cocktails, and bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with company standards and pour requirements. Properly fill orders placed by restaurant personnel as well as guests, doing so in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner.Ensure that the bar and all its equipment is clean and in proper working condition. Assist in the training of new personnel and ensure that new employees are fully oriented to proper procedures and policies. Train and regularly test bartenders on pouring standards.Properly handle an assigned house bank and follow all established cashiering and cash handling procedures. Maintain house bank at proper amount accounting for all cash or charge discrepancies.Ensure that all food and beverage served are accounted for in the point of sale system. Ensure requisitions are filled in a timely manner and participate in the ordering process.Follow all opening and closing procedures and checklists. Perform all necessary cleaning assignments.  Participate in physical inventoriesJob RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 1 - 2 years recent bartending experience, preferably in a high volume operation. Good communication skills and ability to work with the public. Ability to read, write and perform simple mathematics.Serve Safe Certification & TIPS certification a plus.
