TITLE: Maintenance Mechanic A LOCATION: Winter Haven FL POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Mechanic A is responsible for repair and maintenance of production equipment and is proficient in troubleshooting equipment and leads preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS: Follow all safety rules. Repair equipment and machinery as directed. Complete required paperwork and file appropriately. Be proactively involved in form maintenance including but not limited to welding, troubleshooting, replacing of wear parts, cleaning, etc. Work with machine operators to maintain cage machines, mixers, conveyor belts, cranes, automated manufacturing equipment. Assist other mechanics/technicians in implementing preventative maintenance plans. Perform required equipment inspections on mobile equipment, cranes, etc. as directed. Assist in diagnosing of equipment failures and assist in corrective maintenance. Participate with the entire Hanson team to create a safe, productive working environment. Work with all others to keep equipment and work areas clean, safe and functional. Must be willing to do other duties as assigned. The Job requires that weight be lifted or force be exerted for the following weight amounts: Up to 50 pounds Regularly (30% to 70%) Up to or more than 85 pounds Occasionally (Under 30%) The Job requires the following special vision requirements: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less). Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more). Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors). Peripheral vision (ability to observe and area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point). Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships). Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).
